100-hour Medical Interpreter Training

 

September 10 - December 10, 2010 - Fridays, 9 am - 12 pm and Saturdays, 9 am - 3:30 pm - Dana Health Education Center, Maine Medical Center, Portland

 

LANA's Medical Interpreter Training is a 100-hour certificate program that supports national medical interpreting standards of practice.  The training covers introduction to the health care system in the U.S., basic anatomy, medical terminology, interpreting exercises, and ethical case studies.  Competency certificates are issued to students who complete the whole course and successfully pass the final competency exam.  For more information and the detailed course schedule, visit www.lanamaine.org.
